Aaliyah: The 9th Anniversary of her Passing.

R&B megastar Aaliyah died Aug. 25, 2001 in a plane crash after filming the video for her song “Rock The Boat.” Gone too soon, iRemember being in my room rewinding the VHS iRecorded the video on, learning every step she did in that video.  I also remember attempting to learn the choreo to her second single “More Than A Woman.” But, I was involved in too much sh*t in middle school to have time to really learn all of it.

I was moved when iFound out my favorite song by her, and one of her biggest hits, One in a Million, was actually meant to be on her debut album Age Aint Nothing But A Number. When Aaliyah decided she wanted the song on the album, the album had already been sent off for mastering. However, she did make the song the 1st single and album title of her second studio album.

What do you think Aaliyah’s career would have been like if One in a Million was on her first album??
