Gay Black Gang in Washington, D.C. Getting Their Own Documentary, “Check It” [VIDEO]

“Check It” touts themselves as the only documented gay gang in America. With approximately 200 members since it’s creation in our nation’s capital, the group maintains by committing petty thefts, carjacking, and things I’d rather not mention.

The director and nem are in the editing phase of their three-year journey of producing the documentary about these inner city youth and need $60,000 to finish editing. Here’s a preview of what they have so far.

A donation of $15 gets you a digital copy of the movie when it’s released, which is what I am donating. I see a lot of IndieGoGo campaigns that talk about planning to change gay culture and wanting to be the next ‘Paris Is Burning‘. But, I really see potential with ‘Check It‘ and hope you guys will support.

What do you think of the trailer?

Why would you do a video on gay black men, wtf, and then a gang at that; I live in dc, born and raise, all of that gang mess was back in the day more than three years ago. You’re just trying to make my people look bad; how about you do your own race of gay white men then see what you find.

Why are none of us apart of this directing team if this is what it seems our commuity wants to put out there? Not a supporter of this project. Why would we want to place a documentary out there not only regarding gangs, gang related activity and negativity amongst our community. Kudos to those who within this preview for doing this to better themselves but I do not find it necessary to share an entire film on a gay gang. #nopunintended

It’s good for awareness and for the ppl who use it to better them selves. I undestand taking matters into our own hands….However there’s enuf gangs n violence amongst the youth as is let alone in the dmv. U fight wen u have to but there are more productive and inspiring ways for our community to fight back!

looks like…. whom ever starts to edit it… quits due to how stupid he/she would look at the end. We don’t care about if you’re gay. The fact they have to start a gang??.. ohh come on now grow up.

This is exploitation at its finest. These young people don’t have guidance, don’t have support and are coming up in the age of social media fame. You all who are from completely different backgrounds and have no other connection to their world want money? I would just assume put the money in their hands than give it to you! What a shame!

No shade but this is a mess & a big publicity stunt for the director, the girls/cunts/faggies whatever they call themselves. I support the gay rights act and everything along with it but come on now this documentary is not needed! It will only cause more drama and more fame that they want!!! Pull the plug on this and work towards something else. Nobody will donate up to $60,000 for a thing like this. Sorry but I’m just speaking the truth. And to use the word gang in DC is messy and shows no respect to themselves. It’s hard out here for EVERYONE not just them. Maybe they should grow up get a job and live like a classy gay person. This messy shit gotta stop.
