Gay Wedding Featured in Jet Magazine’s Just Married Column for the FIRST TIME EVER!

FIRST TIME EVER a male, same-sex couple has been featured!

The December 10th issue of ‘JET‘ hit news stands today and newlyweds Ravi Perry & Paris Prince are shining bright in their couple photo. ‘JET’ is known for their bi-weekly column that features straight couples with a small writing about how the couple met.

In Ravi & Perry’s article – click here to see it – we discover these two are very distinguished men who in the beginning lived 6 hours apart. Nowadays Ravi is an assistant professor of political science at Mississippi State University and Paris is a licensed real estate broker and compliance officer for the Massachusetts Commission Against Discrimination. The two were wed at their home in Worcester, Massachusetts.

The couple released a statement via GLAAD: “We are excited and honored to have our wedding featured in the historic yet ever-current Jet magazine. Long the hallmark in publishing news, culture, and events pertaining to the black American experience, Jet’s publishing of our union is historic.”

After doing some digging – Thanks Google! – I found their wedding registry which includes Lacoste bedding ($249), a Sony 32” flat screen ($329.99), Martha Stewart dishes, and other household items. I also discovered Ravi is a member of Kappa Alpha Psi that stood up for his frat brother during the whole “Gay Kappa Wedding” between Nathanael Gay and Robert Brown!

Ravi politely reads the nay sayers for filth and ends with, “Why is it that a marriage between two proud and accomplished men of color generates such news controversy in the Black community?” Read Ravi’s full article on that by clicking here.

Here’s more pics of the newlyweds via Ravi’s Facebook profile below! Congrats Ravi & Paris!
