Kelly Rowland shades Columbia Records (video).

If you were alive in 2007 you saw the flop that was ‘Miss Kelly,’ which ultimately led to Kelly Rowland leaving her home label Columbia Records. And, when asked about recording her new album ‘Here I Am’ by Fuse On Demand Kelly made sure to speak of the background work her new label Universal Motown has done for her. Columbia Records, take notes:

This is my baby. And, it feels great to have a label who understands and wants to care for the baby just as much as I do. Ya Know? Everybody’s excited, just as excited as I am. I have a Team Kelly which feels really great because everybody’s just hustlin’ and bustlin’ and making sure that everything works and it locks into place. And it’s the right ‘this’ and the right look and the right sound and the right everything. And, it’s all come together. It’s been a blessing above anything.

Thank God for Universal. Whenever Kelly Rowland spoke about recording while with Columbia she always talked about how everything was rushed when it came to her projects. Universal knows that this record is pretty much do or die. If Kelly flops again… that’ll be three flops in a row and people in the U.S. pretty much won’t care anymore. Kelly also talks about collaborating with the heavyweights and other stuff I don’t remember. Watch below:
