LOGO Responds to 'Drag Race' Confession by Monica Beverly Hillz

“That is not something we screen for, ” said Tom Campbell from World of Wonder, the company that produces ‘RuPaul’s Drag Race‘. After the shocking confession Monica Beverly Hillz dropped on this week’s runway LOGO really had no choice but to go get the tea from Ru’s peoplez.

Beverly Hillz also had her say on professing to the world she’s transgender. “I wasn’t planning to say that, but when the judges were giving their critiques, I kept getting the same info back — that I wasn’t being myself and there was something wrong with me.” Miss Hillz tells Entertainment Weekly. “I was like, oh God, I didn’t think they were going to be able to notice. I didn’t want to sit there and not open and say what’s going on with me. That might have been my chance to actually be honest. Whatever happens, happens, you know?”

In the full interview, Miss Hillz says though she confessed she is transgender she isn’t hoping to be a role model because she is still searching for her true self. But back to what World of Wonder had to say…

“We discovered at the same time as everyone else [on the show],” Campbell explained. “It was not revealed at any time during the casting process and everyone learned about it at the same time.”

Really though? Ru and nem just let two porn stars slip onto the cast  – click here to read about that – AND somebody who wants to be more than just a “female impersonator”? Honey, like Phaedra Parks says on ‘Real Housewives of Atlanta‘…

What do you think of LOGO’s response?
